30-Jan-12: Tom Russell an American singer-songwriter played in The Heritage Centre Balrothery on Sunday 29th January 2012. Accompanying Tom was Thad Beckman who himself has been a professional musician for more than 30 years.

A great crowd turned out to see Tom who is most strongly identified with the Texas Country music tradition. His music also incorporates elements of folk, Tex-Mex, and the cowboy music of the American West. Many of his songs have been recorded by other artists, including Johnny Cash, K.D. Lang, Guy Clark, Nanci Griffith, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Iris Dement, Dave Alvin, and Suzy Bogguss. A great night of country music in an intimate venue!
